When is Halloween?

Halloween is always on the 31st of October.

What is Keen on Halloween all about?

‘Keen on Halloween’ enters it’s 11th year in 2023, and the aim has always been to get families on to the streets of their local neighbourhoods to meet and greet their fellow community members.

The genesis of the Keen on Halloween concept came from the Town of Bassendean’s Youth Service, which found that local kids were unsure of what response they might get if they knocked on someone’s door.

The solution arrived at was for households who were ‘Keen on Halloween’ to sign up to the website, and declare that they would welcome kids and families to ‘come knocking’.

We are 11 years into the initiative now, and ‘Keen on Halloween’ continues to go from strength to strength!  This year, we will continue the ‘Trick or Treat’ map, offer a $250 voucher for the best three decorated letterbox/yard for Town of Bassendean residents.

Trick or Treating (all areas)

The easiest way is to just register your house so people can view the map on this website.
